Gastronomy of the Valencian community

The Valencian cuisine is of great variety, although most international dishes are rice, the best known of which is the paella. Rice is the basic ingredient of many typical dishes such as arroz a banda, the Arrós to the quarry, black rice, rice crust, rice soup, rice in the pot, among others.Fideuá Also, the pot and coca pepper and tomato are usually present in its cuisine.
The Valencian Mediterranean climate favors the cultivation of citrus fruits and vegetables, being very important the cultivation of orange, a fruit typical of Valencian agriculture.

Beverages
La horchata de chufa, whose core is Alboraya Traditional production, is a typical drink, accompanied by fartons. It is also traditional liqueur coffee production (typical of Alcoy), and the sweet wine (in the Marina Baja and the Hoya de Buñol). The herbero, herbal liqueur from the Sierra de Mariola.

Sweets
The vast majority of candy has its origins in Arab times, some are now internationally famous, others are important elements of local festive celebrations.
Jijona (Alicante) and Casinos (Valencia) are the traditional manufacturing sites frosting, food widely consumed in Spain at Christmas and throughout the Hispanic world. Currently also made other holiday treats, such as sweets and marzipan.
